Request deletion of my Sity account by email
Request deletion in the app
In Sity, account deletion requests start in Settings. The email contact above is available without reinstalling the app.
- Open your Sity profile, then Settings using the gear icon.
- In the Account section, select “Delete account”.
- Read the confirmation and subscription warning. Confirm only if you wish to continue.
- If the app asks you to sign in again, follow that step and retry. Check the result shown: opening this web page does not delete your account.
If you no longer have access to the app
Email contact@yoursity.app, preferably from the address associated with your account, and explain that you are requesting deletion of your Sity account. If you no longer have access to that address, tell support.
If you have difficulty using the app or accessing your account, explain it in your message. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or identity documents unprompted.
The link below opens your email app. It does not send a request automatically, and this page does not confirm that your account has been deleted.
Data covered by the request
- The request covers the account, profile and its private information, personal media and content published by the account holder.
- It also concerns social links, memberships and notifications associated with the account.
- The content and identity associated with your messages are removed; a neutral deletion notice may remain to preserve the conversation thread. Other members’ content is not deleted by your request.
Acknowledgement and completion confirmation
We process your request without undue delay and within one month at the latest. If its complexity or the number of requests justifies it, this period may be extended by two additional months; we inform you within the first month and explain why.
We send confirmation when processing is complete. An acknowledgement or the end of account access does not, by itself, confirm that all data has been erased.
What may be retained and for how long
Account deletion does not permit indiscriminate retention of its data. Exceptions are limited to the following categories and purposes:
- Minimised security and request-processing evidence logs: no more than 6 months after the request is closed, without keeping profile or message content.
- Invoices and accounting documents: 10 years from the close of the relevant financial year, only when Sity is legally required to retain them. This obligation does not automatically extend to all subscription data.
- A specific legal obligation or actual dispute: only necessary data is retained for the period justified by that obligation or dispute management. We inform you to the extent permitted by law.
Manage your subscription too
Deleting your Sity account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a Premium subscription. If you subscribed, manage or cancel renewal in your App Store or Google Play account.
See the privacy policy for information about data processing and retention. Support can answer questions about your request.
